Welcome home.

At least, that is my hope. My hope is that through the safety and sacredness of the coaching / therapy relationship you will be able to see yourself more clearly, accept yourself more fully, and dare to take the risks, make the changes, and reach for the visions and goals that you dream of. Ultimately, my wish for you is that you will feel more at home inside of yourself while also feeling more fulfilled in your life.

My passion lies in working with the soul searchers and seekers in life. As one myself, I know the joys, challenges, and depths this path can invite. It isn’t for the faint of heart, and yet, it can be wildly rewarding and worthwhile. I feel it is my calling to help you find ways to live out yours.

Offerings

As a coach and therapist I work with women and queer folx who are on a path of wholeness, authenticity, personal and spiritual growth, and living a life that feels aligned with your truest self. It’s a path for those who simply want more out of life and are motivated to figure out how to attain it. There is usually a deep yearning inside, whether quiet or thunderous, that ultimately says to you, “I want a better quality of life.” This could mean more fulfillment with work, more satisfaction in relationships with self or others, feeling better about your physical health, or having more ease and balance in your life. It might also mean exploring what would give you a better sense of meaning, purpose, or connection to your faith or spirituality. It doesn’t matter if there are many things that bring you here, or just one; what matters most is your decision to take this initial step on your path of becoming more fully you.

My underlying belief is that all people are naturally creative, resourceful, capable, and whole. With this stance guiding the process, I assist you in finding your own answers, making your own decisions, and taking action in ways that feel right to you. It’s a winding journey that provides opportunity to be challenged, to learn, to grow, and to gain new perspective, skills, and resources. Ultimately, the coaching / therapy relationship is the place where we work together on a mutual mission – YOUR vision and goals - and actively move toward bringing them into existence.

At Lionheart Healing Arts, your experience will be unique and individualized to meet you where you are in this moment. My approach is integrative, intuitive, and trauma informed.  I offer experiential, body-centered, and cognitively based techniques that derive from my background both as a licensed professional counselor and certified coach. Together, I like to create a sacred space that feels warm, inviting, compassionate, and safely held to explore your dreams and goals, as well as the obstacles that get in the way of achieving them.

My offerings support women and LGBTQ+ adults with any of the following (& More):

About Christie

IMG_1487-Edit.jpg

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with a Master’s Degree in Transpersonal Counseling Psychology from Naropa University. Since 2007, I’ve been working in mental health and related fields including work as a therapist, counselor, coach, and caregiver. My training and experience span a wide variety of modalities including mindfulness education, somatic therapy, CBT, grief counseling, professional coaching, and more. As your guide, I will support you with courage, compassion, and commitment as you move further on this journey of becoming all of who you truly are.

I am an innately contemplative person, and for as long as I can remember, I have been drawn inward to find ways to connect to my highest and purest sense of Self. To listen deeply and connect to what my mind, heart, body, and intuition is saying. Over time, I learned to trust what I’m hearing and feeling and started to intentionally use that information to guide my actions, decisions, and overall direction in life. This is where my passion lies in helping others. Knowing the experience of joy, aliveness, abundance, fulfillment, empowerment, and fluidity that can arise when we start aligning our goals, and ultimately our lives, with this sacred place of knowing.

Like all of ours, my own journey has led me through many thresholds over time. It’s included learning to accept and befriend my deepest grief and heartache, unraveling negative core beliefs that held me back from living my biggest and truest life, and the ongoing practice of radical self-love and care in a culture that often doesn’t support that. Today, I have tremendous gratitude for the life I’ve created and the sense of internal peace and empowerment I experience - and my sincere desire is to help you find the same.

Testimonials

“Commit to loving yourself completely. It’s the most radical thing you will do in your lifetime.” ~ Andrea Gibson

I have been reflecting on how much growth I have had in the past few years and I truly attribute a lot of that to our time working together. I am happy to report that my mental health feels better than it ever has before. For the first time in my life, I can say that I feel extremely solid without external support (not that there’s anything wrong with external support but wow, how empowering!) Writing this brought happy tears to my eyes. Our time working together made such a positive impact on my life and I don’t think I would have had the courage to come out, make such big leaps, and be fully me without your support. I hope you know how talented you are and how much of an impact you have had on my life as I’m sure you have had on so many others.

If you are looking to work with someone that can hold sacred space for you with the biggest, most compassionate heart then Christie is the person to see. My direct experience with Christie has been one of such delight for me. She has a way of making everyone she meets feel heard, seen, held and encouraged, and with her empathic soul and humble presence, she has the ability to meet you where you are at, and in some way, no matter what, has the ability to make anyone smile in her company. You will feel nothing but safety in her presence and I couldn’t recommend her more to be the one to work with.
— Dana C.
I appreciated Christie’s ability to allow each of our sessions to unfold organically without forcing an agenda. I have found her ability to hold the nuance, complexity, and wisdom of my experiences without judgment or resorting to reductionism to be a rarity among professionals and am grateful for the space she held with me as I explored some difficult areas of my life. I felt consistently supported and advocated for during my therapeutic relationship with Christie, that my voice was always heard and my needs and concerns were foregrounded and skillfully attended to. Christie was tremendously compassionate, supportive, and helpful during a difficult time of transition in my life.
— B.P.M.

She has a grounded presence in which one can draw strength from. She is an exceptional listener, and one feels heard and seen by her. She looks through a holistic, somatic, and person-centered lens. As a colleague, I continue to be impressed by her intelligence, kindness, and passion in the field.
— June B.
I have observed Christie’s clinical skills as her supervisor for several years. Christie has sharp skills and excellent instincts. She draws on her knowledge and experience with several therapeutic modalities and tailors her interventions to the individual needs of clients with compassion.
